Thank you for being interested in MVAIT. MVAIT welcomes excellent and motivated students, postdocs, software engineers and visiting researchers who are interested in developing software and AI technologies for medicine. You should email the Director of MVAIT and Team MVAIT if you are interested to work on medical AI and software techologies in a dynamic research environment located at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) or Novena in Singapore. Several funding opportunities are available for students and postdocs.

Positions

PhD Students

MVAIT welcomes excellent students with a background in artificial intelligence, computer vision, software engineering, or medicine. Potential students should email the Director of MVAIT and Team MVAIT about the position. You should explain in the email how you can contribute to the research at MVAIT, and include a list of publications or projects (description) which are relevant to the research you want to do.

Requirements:

  • Trained (preferably M.S.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or associated programs.
  • Solid mathematical background
  • Strong programming skills such as in Python and C++.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Experience in medical imaging, video analytics, deep learning, machine learning, or computer vision. Knowledge in language models is a plus.
  • Experience in GPU and deep learning programming, i.e. PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Strong motivation in state-of-the-art research and publication.

Postdocs

Postdocs at MVAIT should be highly motivated to contribute to the medical AI research community. Potential postdocs should email the Director of MVAIT about the position. You should explain in the email how you can contribute to the research at MVAIT, and include a list of publications. You should give a description of 3 - 5 publications or projects which are most relevant to the research you want to do.

Research Assistants

Research Assistants should have experienced in one of the areas including AI, computer vision, NLP, robotics, medical devices and software engineering.

Requirements:

  • Trained in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or associated programs.
  • Strong programming skills such as in Python and C++.
  • Proficiency in English
  • Experience in deep learning, machine learning, or computer vision. Knowledge in language models is a plus.
  • Experience in GPU and deep learning programming, i.e. PyTorch and TensorFlow.


Software Engineers

Software engineers should have experience in web or software implementation.

  • Software engineers should be well-versed in C, Python, Java.
  • Software engineers who are interested to collaborate with clinicians
  • Expertise including computer vision, AI, NLP and visualization is a plus.
  • Software engineers who are interested to set up a medical technology or software company.


Visiting Students

MVAIT welcomes visiting students to collaborate on medical AI projects and publication.

Students can collaborate on exsiting projects or suggest new projects.

Student interns are welcome to collaborate on specific projects. Students who are interested to do a PhD should consider doing an intern at MVAIT.
